Publisher – Singapore & Malaysia
We are seeking an experienced Publisher to lead the commercial growth and market development of a leading automotive media brand. Based in Singapore, the Publisher will be responsible for growing the brand's presence and influence across Singapore and Malaysia, driving both commercial performance and audience growth. In addition to developing strategic partnerships and revenue opportunities, the Publisher shape the editorial strategy, build and lead the editorial and social teams, and strengthen audience engagement to ensure the brand remains the leading voice in the automotive market.
The successful candidate will have strong commercial experience, a deep understanding of the automotive industry, and an established network across automotive brands, agencies, and industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
· Act as the commercial representative of the brand across Singapore and Malaysia.
· Build and maintain relationships with automotive manufacturers, distributors, agencies, luxury brands, and key industry partners.
· Develop and manage advertising, sponsorship, partnership, and branded content opportunities.
· Create commercial proposals and solutions that leverage the brand’s audience, content, and platforms.
· Lead client conversations, negotiations, and partnership development from opportunity through to agreement.
· Identify key market opportunities within the automotive sector, including launches, campaigns, events, and brand activations.
· Define the local content and audience growth strategy, ensuring content output reflects market trends, audience interests, and opportunities for brand growth.
· Build and lead editorial and social media teams, creating a high-performing content operation that delivers engaging, market-leading automotive content across platforms.
· Work closely with editorial, content, and production teams to align commercial opportunities with the brand’s audience and positioning.
· Represent the brand at automotive launches, industry events, and partner meetings.
· Develop a strong understanding of audience behaviour, advertiser needs, and market trends to identify new opportunities.
Requirements
· Strong commercial background in automotive, media, publishing, advertising, or related industries.
· Existing relationships with automotive manufacturers, distributors, agencies, or premium brands, supported by strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
· Proven experience selling or developing partnerships around media, content, sponsorship, or brand solutions.
· Strong understanding of the automotive landscape in Singapore, Malaysia, and the wider region.
· Ability to understand brand objectives and translate them into commercially successful partnerships.
