About the Role
We are looking for a Credit Control Executive to join our Finance team on a six-month temporary contract. The role will be responsible for managing outstanding customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the Finance function in achieving its objectives.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, commercially aware, and confident in communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the efficient and timely collection of outstanding debtor accounts.
Conduct collection activities through telephone, email, and other forms of correspondence.
Perform cash allocation and account reconciliations.
Issue customer statements, invoices, and credit notes as required.
Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and properly documented.
Set and monitor customer credit limits.
Identify accounts requiring special attention and take appropriate follow-up action.
Maintain an accurate and organized filing and documentation system.
Respond to and manage internal and external customer and finance-related queries.
Liaise with relevant departments, including Customer Service and Finance, to resolve customer queries and outstanding balances.
Ensure all client contact and account details are accurate and kept up to date.
Escalate concerns regarding non-payment to the relevant stakeholders and take appropriate action.
Support the Financial Controller in achieving departmental and wider Group objectives.
Requirements
Previous experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, or a similar finance role.
Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
Good commercial and business acumen with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Confident communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Excellent organization and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize a demanding workload.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
